Update on Mrs. Jim:
1.  She is recuperating nicely, seven (7) weeks after her fall and subsequent partial hip replacement surgery.  She is ready to drive but her ortho doctor said 12 weeks is the norm.  They bargained for nine (9) weeks IF she had good balance without aid of the cane.  She should of course carry and use her cane until 12 weeks.  NO GOLF until Spring.

2.  I have postponed her annual performance evaluation for six months, now overdue, as she really hasn't been too very good at things requiring physical activity since the accident.

I Googled and found the Yahoo.Answers.com for the answer for a seeker looking for adjectives beginning with the letter "X".  You can count them, it is a bunch that they had, here.

For me, I picked my "X" word to be "XENOPHANIC: This adjective refers to itinerant poets who make use of satire and witticism. The term comes from the Greek name Xenophanes, the wandering ..." Google found it in a link, Literary Terms and Definitions: X, here.

I wouldn't say that T.S. Eliot was itinerant but he did like to use satire and witticism.  I checked out from our library his book of his poems, mostly of which are whimsical I nature, Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats (1939).  The book I checked out is a 1982 edition published by Edward Gorey, which has been "reillustrated" (Wikipedia link).

On eBay this little book of 56 pages sells for $1.00 and up, depending on condition (after I read it I may buy one if I want it to be in my collection).  The 1939 edition sells for around $500 and up.  The Old Possum was a name Eliot assumed when he corresponded with his children and he adopted it again for this book.

I dabble in poetry and mine often tend to the witty side.   You may see some at my other blog, here.  There are no "next page" buttons at the bottom so when you come to the end of the page that comes up you will have to revert to going to the archived groupings listed on the right hand margin.

"X" is also for "Xentor Tales" which are a group of micro stories I wrote on that other blog for Jenny back in 2012 (find them here).

Mist, Moon, and Clouds -- for Josie's Two Shoes Tuesday

Mist or moon she said
If I'm up in my balloon
Then I could see both

Clouds chock full of rain
Headed north to make some floods
They too hide my moon
