Succinctly Yours

.
The turkey rafter was thinned by the Thanksgiving holidays. Those remaining had bordered on depression. Therapeutic see-sawing worked well.

Sarah Palin pardons one Alaskan turkey but the rest have to go.

Keep watching into the second minute for her outside interview. Outside in front of the turkey killing and bleeding machine, watch the operation (be warned that two turkeys get killed during her interview) and hear the second interview.

.I wonder what they do with all that blood that's in the tank. I suppose this beats the old fashioned axe to the neck, or like my Mom did with the chickens, pull their heads off by putting her foot on the neck and pulling on their feet.

At least in that machine we don't have to watch them flop around like we did back on the farm.

Oh yes, Ms. Palin, what was she saying?

Notes: Genesis 9:2-3 (Bible):
2 The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands.
3 Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.

I thinned it by one too. I love how you used this word.

Have a fabulous day. ☺

Jim, we had chickens, even named them and fed them out of our hands. Dad would make us hold the chicken on the stump and he would take an ax and chop of their heads then Mom would pluck, clean and cook them. I did not have the heart to eat them, and still don't. But turkeys were mean. They would chase us around the farm pecking at us till our ankles bled. I know God prepared fowl and cattle to eat, but it doesn't mean I will eat chicken. lol

Haha! Wait til they get bored ;o)

'pull their heads off by putting her foot on the neck and pulling on their feet' - Is this one true, Sir Jim? My grandpa just slit the neck with a sharp knife. Never saw anyone did this ;o)

Some folks keep chickens as pets, Dr Jim :) We don't. We eat them.

I have a need to be thinned myself! Just wanted to say hello and happy thanksgiving! sandie
