Adi Can — Six Word Saturday — be a total mess

I have the messiest beagle dog

Would you believe this is all dried grass?

[Please click on any picture to make it bigger.]

Adi has just come in from her walk. She loves to go out on the golf course and roll around. She does a lot of sniffing out there too. The only time she got lost (ran away??) was when we first moved here. About an hour later a fellow came by in his golf cart looking for Adi's lost owners.

The picture on the left is to show you how messy she really is.

She gets that way in the front yard too. There though, I have a broom to sweep her off. Sort of like brushing.

Here she is in the breakfast room. We go back outside to the back porch(not enclosed) and I brush her off with either a brush or my hand.

.
This is where it all came from. We have for the first year our course didn't get seeded with winter grass. The other years the fairway has been green in the winter.

After a few frosts the grass all dies. Then the golf carts and mowers break up those little pieces like what Adi got on her.

But then what more should we expect from a hound dog?

Our pear trees are blue today — MidWeek Blues — My breakfast plan finalized

It's a blue day for those ornamental pear trees. They are beginning to set on blooms. Since we are in for some sub-freezing temperatures this weekend those buds will fall of next week. That has happened before and they grow new buds that blossom. So please don't be too disappointed.

Too, it has been a just plain blue day before our coming cold spell. The sun didn't even come out at all today.

Just to make sure you'd believe me.

On to the breakfast plan. It seems to be working.
A little weight is coming off. Of course I
should exercise more, like walking
when the weather warms up.
Or bicycle.

This is a plan be breakfast. We still will have the breakfast taco bit but this is much faster. Note I said 'we' as if Mrs. Jim isn't hungry for the taco I will have cereal plus.

On the right I start with raisin bran, a few mini wheats and some banana with skim milk poured over.

On the left you see the second course. It is four or five dried prunes and 'other.'
Other here is a couple of sardines (since this first trial breakfast I cut back to one sardine) with low fat soda crackers.
Other could also be a hard boiled egg, some ham, or other meat I find as leftover in the refrigerator.

These breakfast Lean Pockets come in handy, especially on Sundays when I am trying to hurry. Then I would have one.

During the week I might eat one or a half one with some fruit or cereal.

I know you are tired of seeing my breakfast. So if there isn't a story or travel or something else associated with them you won't be seeing them anymore. Unless I come up with something new and/or different.

If you want to post a MidWeek Blues picture, go get directions from Rebecca by clicking on the logo picture on the right. She has a Mr. Linky and good directions . Just do what I did. .
Or do less. All she requires is a BLUE PICTURE, you don't have to write.

Active duty is over -- Ruby (Red) Tuesday -- Food plan still going

Answer to the quiz below:
The nutcracker wearing the fur black fez was made in Germany.

Yes, I am still on my food plan where the major item is to eat breakfast. I never did eat more than a half granola bar.

This was my Saturday breakfast, the same for Monday except I deferred the apples for a 12:00 noon snack and had a slice of cinnamon toast with my coffee. You see a nice egg soft taco. Each has one half microwaved beaten egg, a little ham, some onions, tomatoes, and salsa. Monday's also has lettuce. Mrs Jim likes my cooking, one plate is for her.

I weigh every day and so far haven't gained any weight. My Christmas and Sunday with Mrs. Jim's Sunday school lunch eating is gone too. But there are other pounds. Dr. Oz helped me with that today on his afternoon TV program.

Sunday morning was not working properly but one the way home from church I picked up some Lean Cuisine breakfast pockets. Those are fast and don't have too many calories.

The troops are coming home!
Good news, I do hope all the active duty U.S. troops soon will follow.

These guys are some of those who had nutcracker duty at our house.
They are lined up awaiting transportation to their homes and loved ones.

Waiting here (left) are some of those home folks.
These are part of the guard who volunteer at our house at Halloween time.

And there is a nice bunk bed awaiting all those who served. They think it is a grand place to hunker down. We do too, it is a little closet under the stairway landing reserved just for Christmas duty characters.

Next I will show the fellows and ladies at their duty stations. You can decide what their job titles might be.

Below: on duty at the serving bar from the kitchen to the breakfast room

I separated these out to see if you can pick the one that is made in Germany. Just one. I should give the answer the next time I post.
(If I forget, please remind me, I'll post the answer on the top of this posting.)
